NEW ABOVE GROUND POOL INSTALLATION Purchased a 30x15 oval pool from the Ogilvie store in Ottawa. Staff were wonderful with answering questions and helping us decide which pool best served our needs. Prices were very compatible and quality was second to none. Our pool was installed with the assistance from Dominique who took care of scheduling and answered any questions we had. Martin and his crew did a wonderful job building the retaining wall and installing the pool. Glad I decided not to do it myself. Great Job!

We are really appreciative of your willingness to talk with us when we saw you at the store and asked you information pertaining to our final choice of the shade of the liner. We are very satisfied of the colour choice we finally made and so happy we had the opportunity to discuss our concern with you. We just love the colour shade and border pattern we made. I can't express enough how grateful we are for the outstanding service and professionalism we've experienced from you and your team at Mermaid Pools Ottawa.

The decision process for our dream: to install an inground salt water pool, took over a year. Dave, you were with us every step of the way. From our first conversation, you didn't "sell." Instead, you made us aware of not only options, but potential challenges. You kept reinforcing that this is a major decision and that it shouldn't be taken lightly. You pointed out that we should consider things like rocky soil and costs around rock removal if necessary. Landscaping, as excavation can take it's toll on a lawn etc. Even down to the liner, you suggested not selecting one until we were sure how deep we could dig without hitting solid rock.

In short, there were no surprises because you made us aware of absolutely everything! When construction started the team kept us informed and gave us updates on next steps. They were extremely courteous and professional.

After the pool was installed, we had a minor glitch with the pump and it was dealt with within 24 hours without interruption in my family's swimming schedule! Dave, at a time when customer service is often mediocre at best, you and your team at Mermaid Pools Ottawa go above and beyond to provide the best service before, during and after the sale.

Our pool liner was just replaced on Friday. We dealt with Dominique at Mermaid Pools and she was really helpful. The crew that installed the liner (Roland and his team) were awesome. There were four people in all, and they were very efficient and it did not take any time at all. They also cleaned up the site when they were finished. For the past 30 years, we have been dealing with Mermaid Pools for our pool maintenance. This spring, we were devastated when we uncovered our pool's stairs were cracked at both ends.

We have always been vigilant when it comes to winterizing and following manufacturer's specifications/instructions in the maintenance of our pool and related equipment. Upon arrival at Mermaid Pools, Myrtle Myers greeted us and after seeing the pictures of our winterized pool (stairs), she immediately called the company to find out what could be done for the cracked steps.

It was such great news when National Acrylic accepted to fix our stairs at no cost and we are extremely impressed with the result. Nowadays, when it comes to honoring warranties, many companies try to get around them.

Words cannot express how much we appreciated the perseverance that Myrtle Myers demonstrated. She took immediate action and provided us with excellent client service and support in our time of need.

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate the expertise of one of your employees, Stéphane Desjardins. Stéphane has been opening and closing my pool for more than 10 years now. He has recently installed my new Hayward sand filter and chlorinator. Stéphane is an excellent worker. He is very conscientious with every job he does; a rare quality in today's world. My property has a lot of trees and bushes and it is not easy to maneuver around the pool. Stéphane is also working with older pool equipment and never complains and tries to fix, glue, whatever it takes to get the pool going. He is also very patient and polite. I appreciate his knowledge and expertise in pools and trust him when he tells me that I absolutely have to replace a part or equipment for my pool. He is a dedicated technician. I always request Stéphane to work on my pool and I stay with Mermaid (a customer for 21 years) because of Stéphane Desjardins.

Just wanted to report that your pool technician Shane did a good job last week in getting our pool ready for the summer season. He replaced the pump and lowered the water in order to get the rust off our main pool steps (although there is still some, it is a net improvement and we are satisfied with the result). He also installed our deep-end latter and our in-pool lights. He was very polite and helpful... It was a pleasant experience.

I needed a ladder to attach to my steps because I tore down my deck. (I was going to take the pool down) He knew exactly what I needed and had somebody pull it out of stock and loaded into my truck.
